TKC Committtee Nomination Form

The Kids Castle AGM is held each March and the next one will be held on Wednesday, 14 March at 7 pm at the Centre.  The Kids Castle is a parent run not-for-profit centre and we rely on your involvement to keep it a great place for our children. We welcome new members and value their expertise and input. The below outlines the formalities and we hope you can join us.

In accordance with our constitution, nominations of candidates for the election of office bearers of the association or as ordinary members of the committee must be made in writing, signed by two members of the TKC association and accompanied by written consent of the candidate.    Nominations should be provided to the Secretary at least 7 days before the AGM.

The committee is comprised of office bearers being the president, vice-president, treasurer and secretary and three ordinary members.  Therefore a total of seven members.   However, if there are more nominations then the number of ordinary members could be increased to several more.      Currently, we have a committee of 10 and over the last 2 – 3 years have had a committee of between 8 and 10 members.

The agenda of the AGM is as follows:

To confirm the minutes of the last preceding meeting and of any special general meeting held since that meeting,

To receive from the committee reports on the activities of the association during the preceding  year, and

To elect office-bearers of the association and ordinary members of the committee.

Last year’s AGM minutes and reports can be located on our website in the Parent Management Committee section.

The committee meets at least 6 times per year.    Please refer to the Role of the Management Committee  in our policy A-15 on our website.

If you are interested in joining the committee, then please nominate using the attached form.   There is a lot of opportunity to contribute your skills and we welcome members who are keen to get involved and help ensure we run a high quality centre.  There is also an opportunity to be a member of a sub-committee (i.e a sub-committee to review our policies and procedures, or a sub-committee to review and guide our vacation care program) that does not require a member to be on the committee but you can still be involved in the centre administration.   Please reach out  to our secretary Cecilia Crosby (ceciliacrosby@outlook.com)  if you are interested in a sub-committee position.

If you do not wish to nominate but are interested in knowing more about the committee, then please contact any of the current committee members (all of whom are listed on our website).
